Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 2025
Right After Crash LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Right After Crash mobile application (the "App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
Our Core Principle
Your data stays on your device—unless you choose otherwise.
Right After Crash is designed with privacy as a foundation, not an afterthought. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information unless you explicitly choose to share it through specific features like Attorney Review or Cloud Backup.
Information We Do NOT Collect Automatically
- We do not automatically collect your photos
- We do not track your location in the background
- We do not harvest your contact information
- We do not use analytics that personally identify you
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not share your data with advertisers
- We do not create user profiles for marketing purposes
Information Stored Locally On Your Device
When you use Right After Crash, the following information is stored locally on your device only:
Accident Documentation
- Photos you capture within the App
- GPS coordinates and timestamps attached to photos (for evidentiary purposes)
- Witness contact information you enter
- Other driver and vehicle information you document
- Insurance and policy details you record
- Notes, descriptions, and incident narratives you add
App Preferences & Stored Documents
- Your settings and preferences
- Documents you choose to store (insurance cards, driver's license, vehicle registration)
- Emergency contact information you enter
This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to:
- Export or share it (e.g., emailing a PDF report to your insurance company)
- Use the Attorney Review feature to submit your case for legal evaluation
- Enable Cloud Backup (Premium feature)
Attorney Review & Legal Referral Service
How This Feature Works
Right After Crash includes an optional feature that allows you to submit your accident case information to licensed attorneys in our network for review and potential representation. This is an entirely voluntary feature—you must affirmatively choose to use it.
Information Shared When You Use Attorney Review
If you choose to submit your case for attorney review, the following information may be transmitted to participating attorneys or law firms:
- Your name and contact information (phone number, email address)
- Details of your accident (date, time, location, description)
- Photos and documentation from your accident report
- Information about injuries sustained (if provided)
- Insurance information relevant to your claim
- Any other information included in your accident report at the time of submission
How Attorney Information Is Used
- Purpose: Your information is shared solely to facilitate legal consultation and potential representation regarding your accident claim.
- Recipients: Your case information is transmitted to licensed attorneys or law firms who have agreed to review cases through our platform. These attorneys operate independently and are not employees or agents of Right After Crash.
- Attorney Contact: Attorneys who receive your submission may contact you directly to discuss your case. By submitting, you consent to being contacted by phone, email, or text message regarding your legal matter.
- No Guarantee of Representation: Submission does not guarantee that an attorney will accept your case. Attorneys independently evaluate each matter.
Our Role as a Referral Service
Right After Crash functions as a lead generation and referral service connecting accident victims with attorneys. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. The attorneys in our network are independent practitioners who make their own decisions about case acceptance.
Attorney Network Compensation
Attorneys in our network may pay fees to Right After Crash for referrals or access to submitted cases. This compensation does not affect your rights or the quality of legal services you may receive, and any attorney-client relationship is strictly between you and the attorney you choose to retain.
Your Control
- You are never required to use the Attorney Review feature
- You choose what information to include before submission
- You can use all other App features without submitting your case
- Once submitted, you may contact us to request removal of your information from our systems (though we cannot recall information already transmitted to attorneys)
Device Permissions
Right After Crash requests the following permissions:
Camera
Used only when you actively choose to take photos of an accident scene. We do not access your camera in the background or at any other time.
Photo Library
Used only if you choose to add existing photos to an accident report or save App-generated photos to your library. We do not scan, access, or analyze other photos in your library.
Location
Used only to GPS-tag photos at the moment you capture them, creating verifiable evidence with precise coordinates and timestamps. We do not track your location in the background or when the App is not in active use.
Notifications (Optional)
Used only to send you reminders or updates you have opted into. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
You can deny any permission, though certain features may be limited as a result.
Premium Features and Cloud Backup
If you subscribe to Right After Crash Premium and enable Cloud Backup:
- Your accident reports are encrypted before upload using industry-standard encryption
- Encrypted data is stored on secure servers maintained by reputable cloud infrastructure providers
- We use this data solely to provide the backup and sync service to you
- We do not access, view, decrypt, or analyze your backed-up content
- You can delete your cloud data at any time from within the App
- Cloud data is deleted upon your request or within 90 days of subscription cancellation
Cloud Backup is entirely optional. The App functions fully without it.
Third-Party Services
Basic App (Free)
The basic Right After Crash App does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or behavioral tracking services.
Premium Features
If you use Premium features, we utilize:
- Apple App Store / Google Play: For payment processing and subscription management
- Secure Cloud Infrastructure Providers: For encrypted backup storage (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
These service providers operate under their own privacy policies and do not receive unencrypted access to your accident documentation.
Attorney Review Feature
When you use Attorney Review, your submitted information is transmitted to attorneys or law firms in our referral network. These are independent legal practitioners governed by their own professional obligations and privacy practices.
Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Encryption of cloud-stored data at rest
- Secure authentication for account access
- Limited employee access to user data on a need-to-know basis
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Data Retention
On-Device Data
Stored locally until you delete it. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Cloud Backup Data (Premium)
Stored until you delete it within the App or until 90 days following subscription cancellation, whichever occurs first. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.
Attorney Review Submissions
Case information submitted through Attorney Review is retained in our systems for up to 3 years to facilitate follow-up and maintain records of referrals. You may request deletion by contacting us, subject to any legal retention requirements. Note: We cannot recall or delete information already transmitted to attorneys in our network.
Children's Privacy
Right After Crash is not directed to children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 16, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
| Right | Description |
|---|---|
| Access | Request a copy of personal information we hold about you |
| Correction | Request correction of inaccurate information |
| Deletion | Request deletion of your personal information |
| Portability | Request your data in a portable format |
| Opt-Out of Sale | We do not sell personal data, so this right is automatically satisfied |
| Non-Discrimination | We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights |
Exercising Your Rights
Since we store minimal data on our servers (only if you use Attorney Review or Cloud Backup), most privacy rights are inherently satisfied. Your accident documentation remains under your control on your device.
- For Cloud Backup users: Delete your data directly in the App or contact us.
- For Attorney Review submissions: Contact us at privacy@rightaftercrash.com to exercise your rights.
We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30-45 days).
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
Nevada Residents
Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not currently sell personal information as defined under Nevada law.
European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland Residents
If GDPR applies to you, our legal bases for processing include your consent (for Attorney Review submissions), contract performance (for Premium services), and legitimate interests (for service improvement). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Do Not Track Signals
The App does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for compliance. However, since we do not engage in cross-site tracking, this has no practical effect on your privacy.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- We will notify you through the App or via email (if you have provided one) for significant changes
- Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

The documentation you create using Right After Crash may be used as evidence in insurance claims or legal proceedings. We recommend consulting with an attorney before sharing documentation, as certain communications may affect legal privileges.
Attorney Advertising Disclaimer
Portions of this App related to Attorney Review may constitute attorney advertising in certain jurisdictions. Prior results do not guarantee similar outcomes. The attorneys in our network are licensed in their respective jurisdictions and are solely responsible for their own conduct.
No Attorney-Client Relationship with Right After Crash
Using the App, including the Attorney Review feature, does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Right After Crash LLC. Any attorney-client relationship would be solely between you and an independent attorney you choose to retain.
